DuPont™ Energain® is a rigid building panel that provides thermal mass to a structure. The panels come in aluminium-laminated panels, bordered at the edge of aluminium tape. The core material is a mix of a copolymer and a paraffin wax 'phase change' material, which provides the panel's functionality. The panels are very similar in dimension to ordinary plasterboard panels, yet are half the weight, and are just as easy to install. The panels can be easily cut to any size.
